Shen Changyu Holds Bilateral Talks with KIPO Commissioner Kim Wan Ki

On May 27, during the 18th IP5 Heads of Office Meeting, Shen Changyu, Commissioner of the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA), held bilateral talks with Kim Wan Ki, Commissioner of the Korean Intellectual Property Office (KIPO).

Shen noted that KIPO is an important partner of CNIPA. Over the years, the two offices have conducted extensive exchanges in various fields of intellectual property (IP), achieving fruitful results. Under the frameworks of the trilateral IP cooperation among China, Japan and the Republic of Korea (ROK) and the IP5 cooperation, the two offices have also maintained close collaboration. Looking ahead, he expressed hope that both sides will further enhance communication and continue deepening cooperation to yield more substantial outcomes.

Kim stated that the two offices have made remarkable progress in practical cooperation across multiple areas through joint efforts. He hoped that the two offices will further deepen both bilateral and multilateral exchanges, and work together to contribute more significantly to the development of the global IP system.

The two sides held in-depth exchanges on the latest developments at both offices, and reviewed progress in the China-ROK, China-Japan-ROK, and IP5 cooperation projects.
